The Five-day Dinagat Islands Provincial Athletic Meet (DIPAM) this year 2015 successfully concluded today, Saturday, December 5, 2015 with a closing program highlighted the awarding of medals and certificates to the winners and coaches of the different contest events. The closing ceremonies started a friendship parade around the oval that connotes a truly teamwork, discipline, excellence and progress to the dinagatnons. Meanwhile, the friendship urn extinguished and lowering of the DIPAM banner and municipal banners by the Provincial Sports Coordinator, Mr. Jay Benitez assisted by the host Mayor Nena I. Ladaga-Quijano, Mayor Craig Ecleo, Hon. Joslyn Ecleo, Dr. Gemma L. Petallo and Dr. Mila O. Geraldino followed by a turn-over of the DIPAM banner to the next host municipality San Jose on 2016. The two thousand nine hundred (2,900) delagates, coaches, tournament managers, officials and guests go home right after the community singing rendered “If we hold on” and “hawak kamay” led by the dinagat icon of the voice kids Owen.
