"INFOcus: Per info from Ltc Al Caturla of PPA-Surigao, partial damages recorded in their AOR are broken glassdoor panel at PTB and Gate 1 & 2 along Navarro corner Boromeo Sts. Further, the latter gates are now temporarily closed and diverted the incoming/outgoing to gates 5A & 5B while all passengers/port users were safe & no reported injured during 5.9 magnitude earthquake this morning. INFOcus: Per info from Director Renato Solidum, their agency updated the magnitude of the recent earthquake from 5.4 to 5.9 while intensity VI was felt in Surigao City. Further, reports received at Central Radio Center (Hotline 166) of Surigao City, the following were initially recorded:
1 injured and rescued at City Hardware;
1 residential house partially collapse at Narciso, P.Reyes St. Brgy. Taft, SC; and
1 residential house partially collapse at Kaskag Village, Brgy. Washinyon, SC. Meanwhile, ERS city
rescue team is now heading to Brgy. Sabang to respond for a rescue call on a partially collapse residential bldg
INFOcus: Relative to the recent 5.9 magnitude earthquake that hit Surigao City a certain Socoro Cenes 65y.o. of Narciso cor. Lopez Jaena St., SC was recorded as another casualty due to a cardiac arrest during the incident, ERS crew on scene reported said victim has no pulse and no breathing.
Meanwhile, City BFP responded to a gas leakage alarm called by Atty. Jex Bayana at Narciso, P.Reyes St., SC. BFP reported acetylene and oxygen leakage was due to valve forcibly removed from the tanks due to impact caused by earthquake when said tanks fell on the floor
