Surigao City – May 20, 2025 – The Committee on Economic Affairs, Trade, Commerce, and Industry, led by Chairman Kent L. Yuipco, held a productive meeting to review proposed local ordinances with significant economic implications. The session was attended by committee members Hon. Juan Fernando Larong, Hon. Elvira A. Egay, and Hon. Kaiser Recabo, Jr.

Ordinance No. 2025-150 (San Isidro) – "An Ordinance imposing fees on services rendered by the Rural Health Unit to non-residents and foreign nationals."

Ordinance No. 536, Series of 2025 (Surigao City) – "An Ordinance granting Tax Amnesty on penalties, interests, and surcharges incurred from delinquent Real Property Taxes."

Aligned with Republic Act No. 12001 (Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act), this ordinance provides relief to property owners by allowing tax amnesty with an availment period until June 30, 2024, and flexible payment options from July 5, 2024, to July 4, 2026.
